Periscope Coach Training's mission is to transform aspiring coaches into ICF-credentialed professionals who masterfully combine emotional intelligence, cultural awareness and evidence-based coaching methodologies. Our program develops coaches who catalyze profound personal and professional growth in their clients while upholding the highest ethical standards and ICF core competencies.

Our belief is that individuals learn best when they interact with the material, making it their own through reflection and practice, in a safe and welcoming environment.

The curriculum is based on the International Coaching Federation's core competencies. Training consists of pre-work, immersive learning experiences, experiential exercises, hands-on practice, and continual guidance and feedback. The program includes pre-work; immersive and experiential learning about coaching competencies, frameworks and ethics; peer practice sessions; and mentoring from experienced coaches.

About Periscope Coach Training

Philosophy

Periscope Coach Training is a transformative identity-based program which believes that individuals act as they see themselves. Participants will learn ICF coaching competencies within a framework of helping people see themselves and their situations with a new lens.

Periscope Coach Training views coaching as a noun, verb, and adjective. Participants will discover more about themselves as they learn about the what, why, and how of coaching.

Process

Periscope Coach Training believes that doing within a supportive environment is the most important part of learning. The training will begin with pre-work to prepare learners for the training; over the immersive training, participants will learn and practice ICF competencies, understand various coaching frameworks and tools, and gain an understanding of their own and others' development. Participants will explore how to build their own coaching practice.

After the immersion, the following five two-hour virtual sessions will review competencies, assess challenges, and provide continued practice. Seven hours of group and three hours of individual mentor coaching will be provided by experienced coaches.

Graduation requirements include attendance at all trainings, completion of pre-work and post-work, 30 hours of coaching outside the training, 10 hours of mentor coaching, and an oral performance evaluation at the ICF ACC level of minimum required skills.

Locations

Periscope Coach Training is held either virtually or on-site at beautiful Ocean Isle Beach, NC, where participants are immersed in coach training over five days. This immersion is followed by several virtual learning sessions and virtual mentor coaching.

Investment

Periscope Coach Training is both a time and financial investment. Participants must be able to be present for the immersive training as well as the virtual sessions. Please see attendance policy for more details.

Each potential participant is required to have a 15-minute discussion with Pam to about readiness before acceptance into the program.

The cost for the program is $7000 (early bird rate is $6500), which includes lodging, meals, program materials, training sessions, mentor coaching, and the performance evaluation.
